This project, in collaboration with Nelson Byun and David Pearson, is a study in brick architecture as thermal and decorative material as well the potential of the pitched roof to create variegated interior and exterior spaces mediating encounters with the environment and sky. The building is composed of 20 one and two-bedroom student apartment units enfolded by a single pleated roof structure which is punctuated by courtyards and collects rainwater water, channeling it into a central garden pathway. The project is sited opposite the Law School campus in Bwari, FCT and will serve the student community of that institution during their year of graduate study in law.
