Olayinka Dosekun-Adjei is the Creative Director of Studio Contra. Her primary interest is in the cultural and residential sector and in public space.
Prior to embarking on a career in architecture, Olayinka worked as a financial analyst in London, for Nomura International, in their Debt Capital Management team. She holds a BA in Classics from the University of Oxford (New College) and an M.Arch from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where she studied as a Kennedy Scholar. Before founding Studio Contra she worked at leading architectural practices such as Barkow Leibinger - Berlin, Sheppard Robson - London and MASS Design - Boston.
Olayinka has been a visiting faculty member at Harvard's Graduate School of Design, teaching an option studio in 2023, and has been a guest critic for final reviews at the GSA Johannesburg and Cornell University.
Jeffrey is the Managing Director of Studio Contra and a RIBA chartered architect and urban designer with experience in both residential and commercial sectors in the UK, Nigeria and Ghana.
He has worked as an architect and interior designer at various practices, including Assael Architecture, Sheppard Robson, Bell Associates and Harry Dobbs in London, and with Joe Osae-Addo in Accra. He holds a BA and MA from the Canterbury School of Architecture and received the RIBA Design Excellence Prize in 2013.
Jeffrey is on the Advisory Board of the Margate School, an independent, post-graduate, fine art institution in the UK and hub for innovation and creativity. He has been a guest critic for final reviews at the University of Cambridge, Harvard Graduate School of Design, the GSA Johannesburg and Cornell University.
Matthew Onoba is an Abuja-based, ARCON and NIA registred Architect with over 30 years of professional experience. He holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in Architecture from the Federal Government College in Illorin and the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Matthew has worked on projects in various regions in Nigeria from the small to large scale, both public and private within residential, educational, civic and commercial sectors. He is particularly interested in affordable housing design and delivery.
Victoria Imande is an ARCON and NIA registered Architect and an NITP registered Urban Planner. She is particularly experienced in the large scale design, planning and execution of urban districts and has served as Deputy Director and Managing Director of the Abuja Satellite Towns Development Agency. She holds a B.Sc and M.Sc from the Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria in both Architecture and Urban Planning. Victoria is a talented community organizer and public speaker with skill at managing large organizations towards the achievement of long-term goals.
